IDK what is up with this forum?......
"Off-Season" or not... I still think there should be a little more activity than there is?

I think there are factors which play into why this site doesn't get much posting traffic. In "my opinion" some of these factors are:
1) Paddling yaks where the primary way of propulsion on the water is by paddle. The majority of yak fisherman have this type of yak and it's the least expensive of all the yak models. This is why the TKF (Texas Kayak Fisherman) site has over 30,000 members and gets tons of posting traffic everyday.
2) Peddling yaks where the primary way of propulsion on the water is by peddle and fins (Mirage Drive) and the paddle is their backup. These yak fishing owners also find their way to the TKF site.
3) The sailing yaks where the primary way of propulsion on the water is by sail with the peddle and fins (Mirage Drive) as the backup. A paddle is the third way only if both sail and peddle break down. Sailing yaks are very expensive since they costs thousands of dollars in an initial outlay. There aren't too many yak fisherman with sailing yaks. This is why there isn't very much posting traffic on this site.
I don't own a sailing yak because of the cost, they're heavy in weight, aren't easy for an older person like myself to move around on dry land when it comes to loading and unloading it from/to my truck (and I use a bed extender) and one really needs a trailer for these types of yaks for transport.
These are my observations so just take them as "food for thought".

myself have not been out in a kayak since November. I have been fishing off the banks of lake Bastrop, Guadalupe river, and Cibolo creek. as well as a little camping and lots of hiking. Winter is hiking weather. Hopefully the weather will get better soon because i miss the open water.
