Well I finally got offshore for the first time this year. Made a last minute decision to sail Sunday and met up with my old friend GW (he wanted me to tell everyone "Hey" for him). We sailed out of Boliver at the 16th street public boat ramp. This location was a first time for me. Beautiful blue/green water, 15mph winds and minimal wave. Couldn't ask for more. The fact that I mistakenly left my offshore lures at home and that neither GW or I got a bite didn't seem to matter. Great day of sailing.

I hear on the local news the seaweed is pretty bad. Did you see lots of seaweed?

If the Packery Channel had lots of seaweed, a safe bet would assume the Bolivar Peninsula on the Gulf side had lots of seaweed washing up on the beaches too.
