This has been the only TI caught on film capsized. I guess this is something I need to try with my AI to see if I am able to flip it back upright by my self. Its best to do it with a buddy system and on protected waters for now just to get the feel of it. Any comments.

Thanks for sharing this video Cars. I've been doing video searches for capsized islands for some time now but only found a couple of AI videos of this. I wanted to see all the options to right these boat. The AI's are being righted by folding the opposite ama in and then standing on the remaining deployed ama and pulling at the hull.
I plan on doing a safety outing this year if I can get enough people interested. I want to practice these re-entry techniques in smooth but deep water as well as a few other scenarios. It would be great to do this as a group, helping each other if needed. I want to separate from a AI while tethered to it and see if the boat tries to continues on it own or stops as I suspect it will. The experience may just save our lives if these things happen miles offshore in rough water.
Any takers out there?

I'm going to play "devil's advocate".
Righting the capsized TI, it took "two" people to do it. What happens if you're out solo in your TI and it capsizes? The buddy system is ideal, but sometimes there isn't anyone available to go with.
Although I don't own an AI or TI, I kayak fish from my SPTW and in deep water where my feet can't touch the bottom, I can right it and get back into the cockpit all by myself if it capsizes .

Dang filters @ work wont let me see it , will have to wait until i get home , i have reentered a kayak a few times by myself in deep water not because i turtled just for practice , im also concerned about capsizing the AI and honestly would not like to be alone if it ever happens , if i was alone and unable to get it back up , i i think i would try to disasemble it and maybe loose some gear, akas etc i dont know and save the kayak , amas at least , i think the key here is like in any other sport ive been , not to be outhere alone .. I would definetly be interested in attending the safety outing offshoreweekends is talking about unfortanetly im not close enough..

I really emphasis that we need to schedule a day to practice the proper reentry procedures. As we perform this tactics, it would be wise to make a video from different angles. This would make a great informative video for newbies like me to review over and over again.
