Was thinking about using just one outrigger and no sail with mirage drive. I don't see why it would not work. I have some places to fish that are too shallow and I could use the trampoline on one side to store my fish bag and stuff. Anyone try this?

i have used this way many of times on Lake Dunlop lake/river . no wind anyway. a little less maneuverable, but can take my 8 year old daughter with me no problems. only problem i can see is if it is real shallow the mirage will not work and the tramp will get in the way of paddling. other than that it is great

Some people call it polynesian style or something like that , i have done it when i take my kid with me , its a lot of fun , and i can cast standing up ... of course you will need one tramp if you wanna take someone else.
